Conference Overview

We take everyone’s health and safety seriously, the Canadian Association for Supported Employment has transitioned the ‘in person’ conference to a VIRTUAL CONFERENCE.

It is still from September 29th, til October 1st 2020 – We are slightly adjusting the format so stay tuned for the new agenda that will be posted on the website at a later date.

What does that mean for your registration?

Apart from the physical component, your registration to the virtual conference gives you the same advantages if not more.

Great New Features!

A virtual conference is on the same principal as an in-person conference, except it takes place online rather than in a physical location. You will just have to log onto the virtual event platform to attend the conference – which you will be able to do from the comfort of your home, or office.

The workshops presentation will be pre-recorded but each session will have a LIVE Q&A at the end of the presentation – you want to make sure that you are present if you have any questions (really, the same as you would at an in-person conference). You will have the possibility to visit exhibitor booths as well as network in private or public chat rooms to continue the discussion.

You will have the possibility to access ALL CONTENT for a full week after the conference, you will be able to have access to ALL 25 workshops and keynotes instead of having to choose amongst concurrent breakouts.

The National Supported Employment Conference is a unique forum to network and access professional development, as well as to share creative ideas and best practices with delegates from across Canada.

What is Supported Employment?

Supported employment is a person-centered approach to assisting individuals with disabilities to prepare for, obtain and maintain integrated competitive paid employment. It works by the job seeker receiving individualized help from a support person to achieve successful employment.

The job seeker, support person and employer form a partnership to match the needs of the employer with the skills of the job seeker and to assist in the job seeker’s career enhancement and long-term satisfaction, for both the job seeker and employer. Visit for more information.
