Hello Members, Volunteers, and Community Partners:
I hope you are all having a fantastic Canada Day long weekend! It’s hard to believe 2019 is already halfway over.
I was so excited to be elected as the new BCPF President at our AGM this year and am happy to serve my peers.
There’s a lot I hope to accomplish. Along with keeping up the great work of all our Past Presidents, I want to connect with members and hear their stories – and connect with community partners to meet new members.
I will be sharing my story and other people’s stories with government officials and will fight for our rights and needs. Employment, housing, and accessibility rights are just a few of the topics I will be bringing up continuously as I represent BCPF and all of our members at advocacy events throughout my 2-year term as President.
I want to meet with city officials to better understand their side so we can come up with better solutions together and am happy to work from a place of positivity to achieve our goals.
I welcome members from across the province to get involved with us by joining one of our committees. I hope to do a great job for you all as I learn and grow while in this role.
I am so grateful to our Past President, Michael McLellan, thank you for all your years of service and future support.
I appreciate our entire Board of Directors, Volunteer Advisor Team, and our Provincial Coordinator so much.
To our past, present, and future!
