We are thrilled to be at the market again this season. Each week we will be featuring a different Kickstart artist who will be there selling their art. Come say hello & support local artists!

This Thursday (June 13th) visual artist Rose L. Williams will be joining us!

About The Artist:
Quebec raised, bilingual, Trinidadian-Canadian artist, Rose L. Williams critically investigates interstices between creative activity, trauma, transformation and aesthetics. Williams’ fine arts interests began with studying Drama, Ceramics and Modern Dance, at Champlain College/ Bishops University at Lennoxville, Quebec  & Les Ballet-Jazz de Montréal with Eva von Gencsy. Moving to BC she had the opportunity to study history of printmaking, with Rory Wallace & Painting/Printmaking with Mircho & Janina Jakobow, gaining a diploma from Fraser Valley College. Williams has most recently curated Armstrong Gallery @ Vancouver Lookout/Harbour Centre, studied storytelling with David Roche, movement with Lazy Legs Patuelli and Clowning with David MacMurray-Smith. Rose earned her Certification in Expressive Arts Therapy from Langara College in 2008 and her BFA from Emily Carr University in May 2015.
