I want to let you know about an exciting new podcast called Accessible Democracy that just went LIVE!
This episode features self-advocate leaders Alexander Magnussen and Vicki Wang, as well as UBC students Evelyn Elgie and Archana Garg.
They discuss the challenges faced when participating in elections, offering personal experiences and advice for other people with disabilities and their support staff.
Since lack of awareness is a big barrier that contributes to the low voter turnout of persons with disabilities, we ask that you share this podcast in your network. In the words of Vicki, “when you listen to this podcast you will be so excited to go out and vote!”
