Self-Advocates’ Jeopardy Game

Five people stand and pose in front of a Jeopardy Game Board display. They are smiling and making playful gestures, with some using canes and one wearing a hat and sunglasses.

By The Self Advocates

There is a group of self-advocates who play a Jeopardy Game once a year. It’s the self-advocates from the Kyndred Community Living Society sites that join together to have some fun. The game was especially popular this year in 2025. They had 14 to 15 people participate.

One member did it during the COVID-19 pandemic times with another Kyndred site in Ladner over Zoom. And now it is done in person with so many people attending.

They participate in a Game of Music Jeopardy, which is music-related because one member is into a lot of music. This self-advocate creates the categories and questions for other self- advocates, so they can have a great time. Occasionally, it is done at a day program. And it’s also done over the phone.

The self-advocates enjoy it, and keep on doing it. They sure have good times! The laughter and enjoyment from playing Music Jeopardy is the best! The self-advocates love it the most!

One self-advocate in particular recommends that all self-advocates from across BC and the Lower Mainland join the Kyndred Community Living Society’s Self-Advocates’ Music Jeopardy events.
