I am forced to exist below poverty.

How often are you stressed about money?

Every time the word money comes up, I experience deep anxiety.

What happens when you are stressed? How does stress affect you?
Stress immobilizes me. It overwhelms my emotions and crushes all motivation.

What are your needs that are not being met because of a lack of money or support?
I cannot afford to live.  My savings are almost gone. This is after 2 years of survival beyond 1.5 years in ICUs and acute care wards.

What would you like people without disabilities to understand about the extra costs you have because of your disability?
I would like people to understand that our government does not subsidize disabled life. It euthanizes those who do not produce work by means of financial anxiety.

Are there things that prevent you from being able to work? What are they?
Recurrent and overwhelming fatigue, inability to sleep (Maximum 2 hrs in a row for 3.5 years), and interpersonal challenges prevent from being able to work.

Tell us about the activities or things you would do if money was not a concern?
I would live with less anxiety.

If you didn’t need to pay for medication or equipment, what would you use that money for?
I would use the money for food, medicine, gas, insurance, heat, and clothes.

If you did not need to spend time worrying about money, how would you use that time instead?
Anything else would be easier to think about than being anxious about money.

Other than money, what type of support do you need to best succeed?
I need miracles.

If you had an extra 200 dollars a month, would you spend it? Save it? What would you do with it?
I would buy food for my children.
