The session will focus on the topic of, “Travelling Europe as a Disabled Couple ” This session will feature Shayne De Wildt and Stacey Francis as they speak on their experience travelling Europe together in the summer of 2019.
Shayne De Wildt: Has been living with Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegia since birth. Shayne works as a Community Based Support Worker at the North Shore Disability Resource Centre.
When he is not working Wildt is travelling and exploring the world.
His hope is to empower people to be as independent as possible within their means in whatever that looks like for them.
Stacey Francis: Living as an Indigenous Woman with Cerebral Palsy has shaped the way Stacey views and interacts with society.
She got her diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling from Douglas College.
In 2018 Stacey was Sponsored by Team Fitness in North Vancouver to appear in the Natural Physique and Athletics Association Show on April 29th, 2018. Stacey competed in the Transformation Division and won first place.
Stacey wants to work with disabled people and help them achieve their fitness goals in whatever way that looks like for them.
