Nominate someone helping people to stay connected and safe for a special COVID edition WOW Award!

Every year, the Community Living BC (CLBC) Widening Our World (WOW) Awards celebrate British Columbians who are making their communities more inclusive.

This year, we are honouring the courageous people who are helping people stay connected and included during COVID-19. We want to hear the stories about how people have showed courage, leadership and creativity to keep individuals connected during COVID-19.

We know people are using many innovative ways to stay in touch, to create friendships and a sense of belonging.

Whether it is an employer, teacher, support worker, community member, self advocate, or anyone else who is making sure people stay connected while staying safe, we want you to tell us about it!

All you need to do is answer the questions in the nomination form found below and send it to us by:

WOW 2020 Winner Selection

In September 2020, a few people across the province will be chosen as WOW Award winners by a selection committee. During Community Inclusion Month, CLBC will announce winners on our website, in our newsletters and on social media.

WOW 2020 Award Rules

All nominations must be completed on the official nomination form. Telephone and email information for both nominator and nominee are required.

Winners and their nominees’ names will be published on the CLBC website, social media pages, and in the CLBC Connect and Celebrate Diverse ABILITIES magazines.
